For over 40 years, Gaetano Gambino shared his love of food with loyal fans across Miami. Many locals remember this witty and spirited Italian from his days at Cozzoli’s Pizza in Dadeland Mall — especially after Hurricane Andrew, when Cozzoli’s was one of the few places open, offering comfort and a sense of normalcy in the middle of chaos.

Like most Italians, Gaetano loved to feed people. He poured his heart and soul into every dish, taking pride in his homemade sauces, fresh ingredients, and old-world recipes. Whether kneading dough or perfecting his secret sauce, Gaetano believed food should be made with care — and shared with joy.
